1. Introduction §1

This Privacy Policy explains how fear collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Discord bot services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Data We Collect §2

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our services:

  • Server Configuration — prefix settings, welcome/goodbye messages, role IDs, channel IDs
  • User Preferences — AFK messages, Last.fm usernames, opted-in feature settings
  • Economy Data — coin balances, transaction history, and inventory items
  • Moderation Records — warnings, bans, mutes, and associated reasons per server
  • XP & Level Data — experience points and level progress per server
  • Snipe Data — last deleted/edited messages (memory only, never persisted)

3. How We Use Data §3

All data is used exclusively to provide and improve bot functionality. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

4. Data Sharing §4

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Data may only be disclosed if required by law. Each server's data is strictly isolated from other servers.

5. Data Retention §5

Server configuration and user data is retained for as long as fear remains in your server. Economy, level, and moderation data is retained indefinitely unless a deletion request is made. Temporary in-memory data is discarded on bot restart.

6. Security §6

We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data from unauthorized access. All database connections are authenticated and encrypted. However, no system is completely secure.

7. Your Rights §7

You have the right to request a copy of your data, request correction of inaccurate data, request complete deletion, and opt out of optional data collection features. Contact us through our support server.

8. Third-Party Services §8

fear integrates with Last.fm, YouTube, and Spotify. These services have their own Privacy Policies which govern data you provide directly to them.

9. Children's Privacy §9

fear is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy §10

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of fear after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
